Richard Norris joined Leadenhall in 2011 to lead the New South Wales practice. He has over 15 years of financial services experience, including ten years focused on the valuation of businesses and companies.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in the UK, Mr. Norris moved to Sydney and joined the Corporate Finance team at Deloitte. His specialist knowledge includes the preparation of IERs, valuations for M&As and for taxation and financial reporting purposes, financial modelling, the provision of corporate advice in relation to proposed business transactions, and valuation advice in relation to disputes or litigation.

Mr. Norris has led the preparation of numerous IERs for related party takeover offers and schemes, acquisitions and disposals of substantial assets, shareholders acquiring a greater than 20 percent interest, and voluntary responses to takeover offers. He has provided litigation support by delivering expert opinions on the valuation of early-stage hedge funds, asset allocations, related party transactions, and complex securities. He also specializes in valuations of intangible assets, share based payments, impairment testing, discount rates, purchase price allocations, and global tax support and valuations for capital gains tax, income tax, and stamp duty purposes.
