Mellen Leads Educational Sessions for Saudi Valuation Professionals, IMAA Members
VRG-U.S. senior managing director holds multiple professional training sessions
New York, NY (Dec. 20, 2023) – Valuation Research Global (VRG), a full-service, independent, global valuation firm focusing exclusively on valuations and advisory services, announced today that Chris Mellen, senior managing director at VRG’s U.S. affiliate, VRC, recently helped lead multiple training sessions for international valuations professionals. Mellen has over three decades of experience performing business valuations in a wide range of industries and purposes and shared his expertise with fellow practitioners during these educational sessions.
In mid-November, Mellen conducted virtual “Train the Trainer” education sessions for seven selected valuation professionals in Saudi Arabia. The sessions, which took place over the course of two weeks, were conducted in partnership with the International Institute of Business Valuers (iiBV) and the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (TAQEEM).
At the end of the month, Mellen was also invited to record a training session – “Avoiding Post-M&A Litigation” – to be shared with members of the Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Alliances (IMAA), where he is a faculty member.
Mellen has been dedicated to the continuing education of valuation professionals throughout his career. In addition to being on the faculty of the iiBV and IMAA, he has served as Chairman of Continuing Education and as an Instructor for the International Association of Certified Valuation Specialists (IACVS). He has also served on the Editorial Board for Business Appraisal Practice and is a member of the Appraisal Issues Task Force. In addition, he co-authored a book, Valuation for M&A: Building and Measuring Private Company Value.
